Our story
We started with six Light Sussex hens and a second-hand incubator on the kitchen table. Fifteen years on we keep breeding pens for fifty breeds on 12 acres of pasture, and we still get excited about every pip.
Our flock
Every breed lives in its own pen with a single cockerel and a small group of hens, rotated onto fresh grass through the season. We select for breed standard, temperament and, above all, health.
Breeding & welfare standards
Birds are never caged. Pens are moved regularly, fed a breeder ration with fresh greens, and cockerels are retired after two seasons to a well-earned free-range life.
Biosecurity
Closed flock, annual vet health checks, salmonella and mycoplasma testing, footbaths at every pen and no visitors in the breeding area. Eggs are collected three times daily and never washed.
