Fertile eggs are precious cargo. Here's exactly how we get them to you safely.
How eggs are packed
Each egg is individually wrapped and seated pointy-end down in a foam cradle, inside a rigid double-walled box with 'Fragile — Hatching Eggs' labels on every side. We include a padded void so the box can be dropped without shock reaching the eggs.
Courier & delivery times
Tracked 24-hour courier (placeholder: Royal Mail Special Delivery / DPD). Most orders arrive next working day before 1pm. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland can take 48 hours.
Dispatch days
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only, with a 12:00 cut-off. This means eggs never sit in a sorting depot over a weekend. Orders after Wednesday's cut-off ship the following Monday. Eggs are collected fresh for your order — never older than 5 days when posted.
When your eggs arrive
Unpack gently and check each egg. Let them rest pointy-end down in a cool room (12–18°C, not the fridge) for 12–24 hours before setting so the air cell can settle after travel. Then set as normal.
If eggs arrive damaged
Photograph the outer box, the packaging and any cracked eggs within 24 hours and email us. We'll replace or refund damaged eggs straight away — no need to return anything.
