1. Fertility guarantee
We guarantee that at least 80% of the eggs in your pack will show development when candled on day 7, provided they were rested on arrival and incubated at the correct temperature.
If fewer than 80% develop, email us within 10 days of delivery with clear candling photos of every egg. We will send replacement eggs for the shortfall (subject to availability) or refund the value of the shortfall.
2. What we cannot guarantee
Hatch rate. Once an embryo is developing, the outcome depends on your incubator, humidity, turning and handling, none of which we control. Typical hatch rates from posted eggs are 50–80%.
Sex of chicks. Nobody can sex an egg; expect roughly half cockerels.
3. Damaged in transit
Photograph the box and any cracked eggs within 24 hours of delivery. We replace or refund cracked eggs immediately.
4. Returns & cancellations
Hatching eggs are perishable, so they are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations once dispatched. You may cancel free of charge any time before your order is dispatched.
Non-perishable items (gift vouchers, merchandise) can be returned within 14 days.
5. How to claim
Contact Stubberhill with your order number, photos and a short description. We reply within one working day.
