Turning eggs: why, how often and when to stop

Turning keeps the embryo from sticking to the shell membrane.

   Turn at least 3 times daily; automatic turners do 24 times.

   Turn an odd number of times so the egg doesn't rest on the same side every night.

   Stop turning at day 18 (lockdown).
